A nursing school based in Kentucky has selected Richardson as the location for its new campus.
The Galen School of Nursing intends to have its new campus in North Texas open by the end of next year. The school will be laid out across 40,000 square feet of office space at the 190 Office Center on W. Bush Turnpike. City Office REIT owns the building.
The campus in Richardson will have patient simulation classrooms and laboratories. The president of Medical City Healthcare released a statement where he said:
“The addition of Galen College of Nursing will complement and increase the availability of high-quality nursing education available in North Texas. In this growing region of Texas, providing additional academic and training resources will benefit future patients.”
Richardson’s campus is the third campus Galen College has opened in Texas. One is in San Antonio, and another in Austin opened last year. Galen also has nursing schools in Ohio, Kentucky, North Carolina, Florida, and Virginia.
Students at Galen can enroll for three-year bachelor’s courses starting in January. Associate degrees in nursing programs are also available. Degrees are often printed on documents with official Letterheads on them.
BHPD Architecture from Ohio has been contracted to remodel the office space to accommodate the nursing school. Documents filed with the state show that the redesign is valued at over $3m.
