New operations center to bring over 500 jobs

Richardson, according to a recent press release from Governor Greg Abbott’s office, is getting a capital investment of $13m along with 550 new jobs from a new operations hub for real estate and investment group CBRE.

Last year the announcement was made concerning CBRE’s lease of a facility in Richardson. The firm acquired the use of an existing building located at 2375 N. Glenville Drive. Currently, 700 CBRE employee are based here in Richardson and an approximate 300 additional employees will bring the total to around 1,000 by early 2022, according.

One result of a company opening or moving to a new location is the need for new Business Cards and Stationery.

In Abbott’s release he said that the headquarters of CBRE in Dallas would also add a capital investment of $29m and another 460 new jobs.

Richardson Chamber of Commerce president and CEO Bill Sproull was quoted on communityimpact.com as saying:

“CBRE’s expansion into Richardson provides high-paying job opportunities for our citizens, an enhanced tax base and further involvement of a Fortune 50 company in our community.”

The release from the governor also said that the Texas Enterprise Fund would be awarding CBRE grants of $3.5m and $3.3 m. As per the state’s economic development office, the Texas Enterprise Fund, awards “deal-closing” grants to enterprises considering a new project whenever a Texas city is competing with other out-of-state sites.
