New CMO named by Golden Chick

The 193-unit fast-casual chicken franchise Golden Chick has recently announced Howard Terry as its pick for new chief marketing officer.

Terry, whose new position becomes effective immediately, has been the president of Texadelphia, a 14-unit cheesesteak chain since 2018. Both Golden Chick and Texadelphia are part of the Golden Tree Restaurant group, which is based here in Richardson.

Before becoming part of the Golden Tree family, Terry worked for more than 25 years for such well-known brands as Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, Lone Star Steakhouse, Texas Land and Cattle, Boston’s Pizza Restaurants, Denny’s, Mooyah Burgers, and Bonanza Restaurants in a variety of positions.

Over the course of a lifetime, the average member of management will carry a number of Business Cards sporting an assortment logo designs.

Before entering the hospitality industry, Terry was employed at a large advertising agency as a copywriter. There he was able to use the degree in advertising he earned at The University of Texas at Austin.

A quick-service, family-oriented restaurant, Golden Chick was founded in the Lone Star State in 1967. It was included in the top 200 of the Top 500 Chains for 2020 as ranked by Restaurant Business.

The restaurant chain offers dine-in, drive-thru, home delivery, and catering services at its more than 190 locations in Texas, Oklahoma, Florida, and South Carolina.
