The summer season has officially arrived for the aquatic centers and pools in the city of Richardson. At the start of June, every one of the public pools and aquatics facilities in the city opened their doors, marking the first time in years that they have all been accessible to the public.
The Heights Family Aquatic Center and the four public pools in Richardson have now opened for the summer season, following the resolution of staffing issues in a year when the city was only able to fill half the required vacancies to operate the pools and aquatics center. The operating hours for each pool in 2023 are as follows:
• Heights Family Aquatic Center: open Tuesday to Sunday, from noon to 8:00 pm
• Cottonwood neighborhood pool: open Monday to Thursday, from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm, and on Saturday and Sunday, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm
• Glenville neighborhood pool: open Wednesday to Monday, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm
• Canyon Creek neighborhood pool: open Thursday to Tuesday, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm
• Terrace neighborhood pool: open Monday to Wednesday, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, on Friday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, and on Saturday and Sunday, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Poster printing is often used to share details of changes to opening hours.
These adjusted hours provide residents with ample opportunity to enjoy the neighborhood pools and the Heights Family Aquatic Center throughout the summer season.
