The Cottonwood Art Festival is set to take place in Richardson this October and again in May.
The event will showcase over 190 artists chosen from around 1,400 submissions. Since its inception in 1969, this festival has become one of the nation's most prominent fine art events, drawing local and national talent.
During the event, festivalgoers will enjoy an assortment of food and drinks, including, gyros, barbecue, craft beers, and craft wines. The craft beers and wines will be available in specified areas for those over 21. The event will also feature ArtStop activities for families with children. The ArtStop is a special area for children to engage in creative activities like painting, weaving, and working with clay.
Pets are allowed on leashes, but owners should be mindful of the artwork and exhibits. There will also be doggie Bags available around the park for pet waste disposal.

The festival is set for two weekends: October 5-6, 2024, and May 3–4, 2025. On both Saturdays the event will run from 10 am to 7 pm and on both Sundays the event will run from 10 am to 5 pm. The location will be at 1321 West Beltline Road Richardson, Texas.
