Community to address mental health in Richardson

This July, the Eldred McClean Counseling Center will host the 2025 Aware to Care Mental Health Awareness Fair, a public wellness initiative focused on emotional health.

The event aims to equip attendees with knowledge and tools to navigate mental health challenges through educational sessions, therapy experiences, and access to professional resources.

The affair will include a full schedule of interactive programming. Four workshop blocks will run throughout the day, covering themes such as family communication, adolescent identity, emotional regulation, parenting techniques, and strategies for self-care.

An exhibitor hall will be available where mental health providers and community organizations will present services and resources. Guests will also receive lunch and may participate in a drawing for door prizes during the closing segment.

Admission is $15 per individual, with a $5 discount available for those who sign up by June 30th. Children under 16 may attend if accompanied by a legal guardian or parent. All counseling assistance offered will adhere to Texas Behavioral Health and HIPAA regulations. Tickets will be available online in advance and at the entrance on the day of the event.

Print shops may be used by exhibitors to provide attendees with educational information for events such as this one.

The Aware to Care Mental Health Awareness Fair will occur on July 19th, from 9 am to 3 pm at First Baptist Richardson, 1001 N. Central Expressway, Richardson, Texas. Doors will open at 8:15 am.
