Tamales the talking point in early December
Navigation Esplanade will soon be the site of a celebration of Houston’s rich cultural diversity, no doubt attracting people from nearby Pasadena.
Tamale Festival Houston is a festival that celebrates husk-stuffed tamales that melt in the mouth. During the event, restaurants and taquerias (Mexican eateries) will prepare and showcase their signature tamales. They will also give their culinary take on various meat dishes and masa (dough). Two of the main attractions of the event will be the Tamale Eating Contest and the Best Tamale Competition.
In addition to the tamales and other Hispanic cuisine will be fine craft beers that are the creations of the immediate Woodlands area. There will be a variety of other foods for visitors with a different appetite, such as Texas BBQ, fairground foods, and trucks. Vendors might benefit from flyers that could further promote their businesses.
There will also be music for entertainment being provided by Metalachi, described as being the world’s premier heavy metal mariachi nand. There will also be performances by Soul Creatures, and there will be a Strange Danger Thrill Show put on by Goode and Braggart.
Tickets to the show are available online and will be available for purchase at the gate as long as the event has not sold out. It all happens on Saturday, December 3 in Houston, 16 miles northwest of Pasadena.
