What's Happening in Pasadena, TX…

Summer solstice celebration to demonstrate how community can help

The homeless in Pasadena and the surrounding communities face many challenges, and during an upcoming dinner, those who have been able to overcome them will seek to inspire the guests by sharing stories of their success.

Healthcare for the Homeless in Houston will be marking the summer solstice, which is the longest day of the year, with an event that will bring together a diverse group of members of the community. Those who attend will hear from area residents who have directly experienced this issue for themselves, along with what led to this situation and how they were able to overcome it and move forward in their lives.

As the speakers share their stories, there will be a focus on how they were able to find both health and housing. Dinner will be served, and there is no charge to attend. Anyone who is interested has been asked to RSVP ahead of time, and poster printing can be an way to effectively promote a function like this throughout the area.

This event, which will provide a tangible demonstration of how the community can come together to make difference by supporting homeless individuals and families, will be held at 3827 Broadway Street in Houston. It will be taking place on June 21 starting at 6:00 pm, and the deadline to register is June 15.
