What's Happening in Pasadena, TX…

Pasadena walk with a Halloween twist

Pasadena is known as being a community that cares about the natural world, and one of its venues will soon be showcasing Mother Nature’s spooky side.

The Armand Bayou Nature Center has scheduled an event that is designed to keep people on their toes, and will even include a night hike. There are 13 slots in the session, and each of the hikes will set out every 10 minutes.

The attendees will begin their walk with a short stroll along the location’s boardwalk, and here, they can meet some of its wildlife residents and learn more about them. After this, the group will come together to hear coyotes howl, be friendly with bats, meet some spiders, and greet the farmhouse’s spooky ghost. Insect repellent and water are recommended, and anyone who has a red lens flashlight may want to bring it along as well. Closed-toe shoes are mandatory for all participants.

A guided night hike can be fun for young and old alike. The crew at a local poster printing company can be called upon to craft decor that glows under black light, as well as other potentially spooky items.

The Armand Bayou Nature Center has scheduled this night time walk for October 28th, and it is geared toward those ages five and up. Both members and non-member may participate. Tickets start at $13.00, and they may be ordered through the function's online listing.
