Pasadena prepares for hurricane season

Knowing what to do in a weather emergency can save lives, and a Pasadena activity will make sure locals have the knowledge they can call upon should they need it.

Southeast Region PEPC 2025 and the City’s Office of Emergency Management La Porte Office of Emergency Management will be offering a workshop paired with a safety resource fair that will be focused on the local area. It has been designed to appeal to all ages, and the Pasadena Convention Center will welcome the activity.

The day will open with an opportunity to visit the various booths set up by area organizations and community service groups, and door prize draws are also in the works. Lunch will be served, and while they enjoy their meal, the crowd can take in a presentation that provides a prediction for the upcoming hurricane season. A final prize drawing will round out the day.

Ensuring that community members know what steps to take can be a vital part of a city’s emergency preparedness plan. Supplementary learning materials for an activity can be prepared by stationery printers.

Saturday, June 7 will see this special event equip Pasadena residents with knowledge and skills to make sure they are hurricane ready. The resource and vendor fair will open at 10:00 am, and the first prize draw is scheduled for 11:00 am.
