Pasadena park set to host self-care festival fundraiser
There are times when almost everyone can use some self-care, and in Pasadena, a special weekend event will offer just such an opportunity.
The Bridge Over Troubled Waters has put together a day that will be filled with self-care activities that will also encourage the public to get up and move. It will include free classes as well as other activities, and with special offerings just for the kids, the whole family can enjoy the celebration.
The attendees can take part in a free fitness, Zumba, and salsa dancing lesson, and there will also be a variety of art projects to try. A planting party is on the agenda, and in addition to all of this, a kids’ corner will have games and other fun for the younger attendees to enjoy. The materials needed will all be supplied, and the guests only have to bring along some comfortable clothes and an open mind.
While the event will be focused on self-care, it will also have a higher purpose. The monies raised will be used to help support those fleeing domestic violence, and a T-shirt that features a specially prepared graphic design will be available for purchase at the event.
The Selfish Saturday community celebration and fundraiser has been scheduled for April 4, although given the current global situation it would be wise to stay tuned to the website for updates. It will all be on offer in Burke Crenshaw Park.
