Pasadena fundraiser gathers supplies for local scholars
Pasadena is a community that strongly believes in the value of education, and to help make it easier for its scholars to find success, it has a campaign in store for the city.
The Pasadena Chamber of Commerce, the City of Pasadena, and Pasadena Independent School District have teamed up to run the “Fill the Bus” campaign. The goal is to collect monetary contributions as well as gifts in kind, and there are two ways for community members to get involved.
The organizers have scheduled a drop-off day for school supplies, and anyone who would like to make a donation can do so at the Pasadena Convention Center. The collection point will be open throughout the business day, and all support will be appreciated. Alternatively, monetary donations can be made online. Checks will also be accepted and can be made payable to the Pasadena ISD Educational Foundation. Anyone who has questions can contact Teubanks@pasadenatx.gov.
A vehicle-based donation drive like this can garner particularly high attention if it is brightly decorated. A banner printing company will be happy to help by providing decor that will ensure a fundraiser gets noticed.
This chance to lend a helping hand to local scholars will be set up from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm on Monday, July 29. Donations can also be made online, and more details are available on the PasadenaTX.gov website.
