Pasadena event to offer food, flames and fun
Foodies from all over Texas and even further afield will be coming to Pasadena to participate in the 20th Annual BBQ Cook Off.
The event will feature an assortment of meats, including chicken, ribs, and brisket, all grilled over an open flame. There will also be chili and baked beans to enjoy.
Visitors will be able sample and choose their favorites from some of the best the state has to offer, and there will be other activities to enjoy as well. The public can take part in the washer toss, horseshoe pitching, and domino tournaments, and there will also be music and plenty more to see and do. Banners and other themed decorations that can help to make an event like this even more special can be produced to order by a printer.
The event is being held as a fundraiser, with the monies raised going to help youth throughout the state by providing them with scholarships and other educational assistance. It also funds research projects and other agricultural related activities. BBQ aficionados are encouraged to form a team and sign up to show off their outdoor cooking skills.
The 20th annual BBQ Cookoff will be held on January 15 and 16 in Pasadena Fairground’s Campbell hall, which is located at 7601 Red Bluff. More information, and an opportunity to register a team or make a donation, can be found on the event’s website.
