Pasadena course to focus on dry needling

A Pasadena course will train physiotherapists and others in the use of dry needling techniques.

Dry needling can be used to relieve muscle pain, as well as to restore and improve function. While similar in some respects to acupuncture, it is a different practice that requires special training.

The Advanced Dry Needling workshop being offered by Structure and Function Education will be taught by a subject matter expert, and will be focused on relieving lumbo-pelvic-hip complex related problems.

During the 16-hour course, the students will learn about safety procedures, creating diagnosis focused treatment plans and the different strategies that are often used when dry needling. A discussion of case studies, the instructor’s personal experience and a variety of current research will be included, and tickets are on sale now for the training.

Hosting an educational workshop like this often means having to source handouts and other learning materials. Stationery printers will be able to help, and can provide everything from single sheets of information to bound manuals. The learners will then be able to keep them in their own personal reference library for future use.

The start date for the Advanced Dry Needling course will be September 18, and seats are limited. It will be hosted at the Texas Chiropractic College located at 5912 Spencer Highway, and the registration fee to take part starts at $895.
