Pasadena area planning week of birding events
From tiny hummingbirds to huge golden eagles, Texas is home to many species of birds, and a special Pasadena area activity will celebrate these feathered friends.
Houston’s Bird Week will wrap up the month of September with a series of outings, presentations, workshops, and other activities. It will showcase both migratory and resident species, and it is being brought to the area thanks to the efforts of Houston Audubon and its conservation partners.
The schedule of activities that is in the works for the week range from bird walks through local forested areas and other venues to mindfulness exercises and even watch parties. There will be something for every age, and while birds will be the main focus, the general theme will be wildlife conservation.
