A family fitness event is coming to a community near North Richland Hills next month, offering a fun way to help families get outside and stay active.
The Family Fitness Day, organized by the City of Hurst Parks and Recreation Department, is set to welcome guests and interested parties for a day in the sun. The event is being organized in conjunction with National Family Health and Fitness Day, which promotes the importance of public access to parks and staying active.
The fitness session is open to the entire family and will ensure an inclusive environment that welcomes all interested parties. Attendees will begin the fitness session with a one-mile run, which is followed by a series of other challenges to help family members discover new heights. Flyer printing is a fantastic way to use grassroots marketing to promote such events and increase attendance.
Groups of four are recommended for the session, though they are not required, with the ideal team setup including two individuals over 15 and two individuals under 14. Participants will want to bring water and wear athletic clothing to enjoy a comfortable and fun experience.
The fitness session and celebration will be held at Chisholm Park in nearby Hurst on Saturday, June 14 from 7:30 to 9:30 AM. Registration is free and open to interested parties online.
