Programs of all branches of the Montgomery County Memorial Library System will be going online for the month of August.
Many programs for adults will be book clubs, with Mitchel Library hosting a nonfiction book club on August 20, beginning at 1:30 pm. The book will be Julian Smith and David Wolman’s Aloha Rodeo: Three Hawaiian Cowboys, the World's Greatest Rodeo, and a Hidden History of the American West.
Gum Shoe Mystery Club will be at 11:00 am and again at 2:00 pm on August 11. The book will be STASI Child by David Young. Participants must register to use the Go To Meeting social platform.
Book talks for adults include a Recipe Video and Book Talk on making donuts on August 4 at 2:00 pm and a Tech Talk from 1:00 to 2:30 pm on August 7.
Other adult virtual events will include Storytime for Adults every other Monday at 1:30 pm, and Horse Drawing 101 on August 4 at 1:00 pm, and Friends of Texas Wildlife at 1:00 pm also on August 4.
Other programs will be needlecraft, How to Search the Internet, and Meador Adult Writer’s Group coming online at 2:00 pm on August 18.
