Hunger is a very real problem throughout countless communities, and residents of Conroe will soon be doing their part to give back to those who happen to be less fortunate. An upcoming marathon will raise money for individuals who have difficulty making ends meet.
Outrun Hunger has been sponsored by the Montgomery County Food Bank, and it offers participants with an excellent way to do their part for the community. Attendees can participate in one of three events. These include a timed 8K run, a times 5K run, and a 1K sprint. However, those who cannot run can just as easily walk the entire course. All ages are welcome to attend.
In addition to the events mentioned above, other on-site activities will be made available. These include food vendors, photo opportunities, live music, and a supervised area for children.
Events associated with charitable causes will frequently turn to cost-effective marketing techniques to raise as much money as possible. Some of these may include negotiating deals with nearby Print shops, creating online social media posts, and asking volunteers to hand out Flyers.
The Conroe Outrun Hunger Trail Run is slated to take place on Saturday, June 13th from 7 AM to 10 AM. Those who wish to participate are asked to arrive at The Lake House at Grand Central Park located at 1039 Lake House Drive in advance. Registration fees begin at $30 per person.
