The 18th annual Red, Hot and Blue Festival is taking place this July in The Woodlands.
There is set to be an evening's worth of activities suitable for people of all ages. There will be a parade down Market Street with the theme of ‘American Heroes’. Participants will be judged on categories such as ‘most patriotic’, ‘youth entry’, and ‘best use of theme’, and will receive cash prizes.
There will also be a children's bike parade and decorating contest. Vendors will be on hand to sell a variety of merchandise, food, and drink.
Additionally, there will be hot dog and watermelon eating contests, children's games, and activities such as face painting and balloon twisting. Two stages will provide a variety of musical entertainment, from artists such as Good Time Muffin, Troy Hess and the Texas Heartbreakers, and the Joey Green Band. The evening will finish off with a fireworks extravaganza, beginning at 9:30 PM.
Organizers may decide to invest in services such as banner printing, to recognize the performers and vendors so that attendees, from communities such as Conroe, are made aware of them.
The Red, Hot and Blue Festival is being held at Tom Green Park, Hughes Landing, and Woodlands Waterway on July 4 from 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM. Admission is free. To learn more about this event, visit the official website.
