Events including The Red, Hot & Blue Festival will be coming to the Woodlands over the 4th of July.
The celebration will actually start the evening before the 4th with a free concert. This Star-Spangled Salute will be performed by the Houston Symphony.
The South County Fourth of July Parade will march around 1.3 miles of the Woodlands. It will include fire engines, floats, marching bands, clowns and local groups with Banners. Another parade taking place will be the “Things That Go” Bike Parade. Conroe and other area families will decorate their bikes and join in a parade around Northshore Park. Entries will be judged.
Community pools will have Splash Day. All residents will get in free and be given free refreshments while the little ones enjoy activities.
The actual Red, Hot & Blue Festival will be held around the Woodlands at different parks. Town Green Park will have the Mars Hill Band and the Klockwork Band. That venue will have strolling entertainers, balloon artists, food vendors, inflatables and crafts for the kids. Waterway Square Park, Northshore Park, Rob Fleming Park and Hughes Landing will have live entertainment, face painting and concessions.
The Fireworks Extravaganza will be possibly the largest fireworks displays in the Houston area.
The festival will be on July 4th all day with activities from 6 to 10:00 pm at various parks around the Woodlands. Fireworks will start at 9:30 pm.
