New dates set for postponed April and May free concerts

The 2020 First Thursday Free Concert Series has moved its April and May concerts to the end of September and early October.

Before them, the next concert will take place on July 2 and will feature Bri Bagwell. She is a country music artist and seven-time Texas Female Vocalist of the Year. Bagwell has recently dropped her latest album “In My Defense.” Fans still have time to get Promotional Products such as T-Shirts, hats, drink koozies, and Posters from her website.

Derek Spence will be the headliner on August 6. He and his band will present a Tribute to George Strait. This show touts itself as “the #1 International George Strait Tribute Production in the world.” Many previous attendees aver that they cannot tell the difference between Mr. Spence vocals and those of Strait himself.

The September 3 concert will now be an Eagles Tribute night with Already Gone. This group will not only play Eagles hits but will include a little Fleetwood Mac, Beatles, and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young to the mix.

For September 17, the Journey tribute band Escape will take to the stage. These seasoned five California musicians will recreate Journey classics such as Open Arms, Who’s Crying Now and Don’t Stop Believin’.

The 2020 season ender on October 1st will be Ropin’ the Wind, which is a Garth Brooks tribute evening.

All concerts will take place Tuesdays at Heritage Place, 500 Collins Street, Conroe from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm.
