The fifth annual Lone Star Luau Music Festival is coming to Lake Conroe in early February.
The three-day event includes 18 musical performances from the likes of Thom & Coley, Jerry Diaz, Paul Overstreet, Aubrey Wollett, Gary P. Nunn, Rob Hill, and Donny Brewer. Afterparties will take place in the Boathouse after 11:00 pm on the Friday and Saturday nights.
The event will benefit Operation Song and Fisher House. Operation song is an initiative to have active-duty military and veterans tell their stories through songwriting. Fisher Houses are comfort homes for families of those veterans who are hospitalized in vets’ medical centers and military hospitals around the world.
The Red Guitar campaign will be in full swing. This is a charity campaign that donates red Taylor 214ce guitars to Fisher Houses around the United States. Each guitar costs $1,500, and the goal this year is to donate 14 of the instruments to Fisher Houses in Texas and one to the house on Oahu where the idea was first conceived. Donations can be made on the event's website.
Although general admission, VIP tickets and some of the lesser sponsor levels are sold out, there are still a few sponsorships available. Lone Star Luau T-Shirts sporting the event graphic design are available online.
The Music Festival will take place February 3 through 6 at Margaritaville, Lake Conroe in the Compass Ballroom. The event will be broadcast on Radio Trop Rock
