Local festival offers tacos, tequila, and toe-tapping

The Texas Taco Tequila and Music Festival will be here in Conroe in early June. The event will celebrate Texas’s musical heritage and rich cuisine.

This comes hot on the heels of another hosting of the festival, which took place at the weekend at Town Green Park, 2099 Lake Robbins Drive in The Woodlands.

A family-friendly event, children under the age of 12 can get in for free. Along with a variety of tacos, the festivities will include lowriders, Lucha Libre wrestling, contests and live art.

Entertainment will include Baby Bash – a Selena tribute sung by Amanda Solis, Tony Montana, Audic Empire, Los Skarnales and Mighty Orq.

General admission will be $7, or $20 including two adult beverages. A $100 VIP ticket will include two drinks, a cup sporting this year’s festival graphic design, vouchers worth $10 for tacos, tequila tastings, swag bag and private bar tender. VIP ticket holders will also get seating in a private shaded area. Tickets will be limited to 10 per customer, can be purchased online, be printed at home, or picked up by arrangement.

The Texas Taco Tequila and Music Festival will be Saturday, June 5 at the Heritage Place Amphitheater, 500 Collins Street, in Conroe. As with the event last weekend, it will begin at noon and end around 10:00 pm.
