Conroe whets appetite for the Taste of Houston Festival

Those of in Conroe who enjoy a good festival will want to mark their Calendars for the upcoming Taste of Houston Festival 2017 coming in September.

This will be a two-day event that will have plenty of food trucks, boutiques, and arts and crafts. Over 200 booths will be on site. They will have artists and crafters selling their original work and boutiques offering unique items.

Over 20 performers and music artists from our area will be on stage. Music genres will range from Paulina Sjoberg ‘s acoustic/Americana, Jodie Booth’s country, rock from the Woodlands School of Rock, and jazz played by Blackgrass Gospel. Alternatives include R&B with Six Minutes Til Sunrise, pop by Brandon Stanley, and indie music by Another Run. Vince King & the Vegas Mafia will be presenting an Elvis tribute and MTA will perform the songs of Metallica. Local dance academies will be showcasing their talented young students, and martial arts dojos will be giving demonstrations.

More than 20 eateries, restaurants and food trucks from around the area will be vending their specialties. Kids can enjoy acres of amusements including a petting zoo, rides, inflatables, activities, crafts, and interactives.

The fun will be Saturday, September 9 and Sunday, September 10 at the Town Green Park, 2099 Lake Robbins Drive, in the Woodlands. Gates open at 10:00 am.
