The Montgomery County food bank will be holding its annual Outrun Hunger 5k Trail Run/Walk and 1k family-friendly Color Dash here in Conroe in mid-June.
The 5k timed race will cost $50 and will not be a color run. The course will be on grass and dirt running trails, and swag will include participant medals and event T-Shirts for those registering before May 16th.
The 1k Color Dash will cost $30 and will be a run through colored powder. The untimed event will be on a paved course and will include T-Shirts guaranteed to those registering before May 16th and color packets.
Team registration is also available for both the 5k and the 1k Color Run. Teams that participate in events such as this often go to local Print shops and have T-Shirts printed with their company's Logo Design or a special graphic design just for them and/or the occasion.
Awards will go to the top fundraising team and top individual fundraiser, fastest team for the 5k, and for the largest team and largest partner agency team.
The Party Pavilion will offer music, photo opportunities and kid-friendly summer activities.
The 5k will take place from 8:00 am to 9:00 am followed by the Color Dash from 9:00 am to 9:30 am on June 14th at The Lake House at Grand Central Park, 1039 Lake House Drive.
