Many Conroe runners are gearing up for the annual Muddy Dash fun run coming in early September.
The course will be a fun untimed race through a series of 12 or so Muddy Moments where participants must run, walk, wade, slip, slide, or crawl through to finish the race. Event organizers have reassured everyone that no mud pits will be deeper than their waists. Participants must be at least seven years old, and costumes are welcome. Swag will include finisher medals, race bib numbers and T-Shirts sporting this year’s graphic design.
Waves will be released every 15 minutes beginning at 8:00 am and finishing at 11:15 am. The 8:00 am waves cost $10, the 9:00 am ones are $5, and the 10:00 am and 11:00 am waves will be free.
Racers are advised to pick up their race packets in advance to minimize long lines before the race. A $5 charge will be added to same-day packet pickup at check in.
Spectators are invited to cheer on their favorite competitors. Admission for family and friends will be free, and race watchers may participate in the festival area. Along with lots of food, this area will have music and event sponsors giving away Promotional Products, such as promotional Pens, hats, and cup cozies. Some fun competitions will allow guests to win free races and merchandise.
Mud Dash will be Saturday, September 2 at Three Palms Action Sports Park, 15100 Interstate 45 S.
