The 66th Annual Montgomery County Fair and Rodeo will be coming to the fairgrounds at the end of March, and residents of Conroe may wish to attend.
During the event, over 50,000 visitors are expected to view about 3,000 exhibitors. Entertainment for March 24th will be Drake Milligan, with March 25th’s entertainment being Pat Green, and, of course, the Youth Rodeo, which is set to start at 6:30 pm followed by the Cowboy Professional Rodeo Association Rodeo at the Woodforest National Bank Arena, 9201 Airport Rd. Fans in areas like Conroe often buy merchandise displaying a rodeo’s graphic design and wear it to events like this.
The Bud Light BBQ Cook-off will begin March 31st. Along with cooking and eating BBQ, participating teams will vie for Best Dressed Port-a Can, Most Colorful Team, and Outhouse Racing honors. There will also be Cornhole and Washer Pitching tournaments.
Along with the livestock and non-livestock exhibits, concerts, and BBQ cook-off, the event will feature a Family Game Show, Pet Parade on March 29th, KidzQ Contest on April 2nd, Ag Knowledge Barn, National Anthem Contest, and the Sunshine Day Show on March 25th.
Admission for the Concert and Rodeo Weekend on March 24th through the 26th and BBQ Cook-off Weekend on March 31st to April 1st will be $15 at the gate, or $10 online for attendees 12 and over and $5 for kids from 5 to 11 years old. Parking will be $5. Monday through Thursday, admission will be free.
