The 2024 Montgomery County Empower Senior Citizens Resource Fair will be coming to Conroe in mid-August, and the Conroe Firefighters Foundation 3rd Annual Conroe 9/11 Stair Climb has been scheduled for mid-September.
The theme for the 2024 Montgomery County Empower Senior Citizens Resource Fair is "Fun Fiesta" and the event will have a carnival atmosphere with local and government resources covering living, health and recreation, for veterans, caregivers as well as for senior citizens. Free tickets are available on the event's website.
The 2024 Empower Senior Citizen Resource Fair will be Thursday, August 8th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Lone Star Convention Center, 9055 Airport Road.
The Conroe Firefighters Foundation will be presenting it 3rd Annual Conroe 9/11 Stair Climb at their Conroe Training Facility. To show support, attendees will be lacing up their sneakers and paying tribute to the 343 firefighters who participated in 9/11 as they climb the training center stairs.
Tickets are $50 each and will include gift Bags, finisher challenge coins and t shirts sporting each event sponsor's Logo Design.
Four start time slots are available beginning at 8:00 am and continuing hourly until 11:00 am.
The 3rd Annual Conroe 9/11 Stair Climb will be September 7th at 2357 Farm to Market Road 1484 from 8:00 am to noon.
