Conroe holds golf tournament benefit

Conroe golfers looking for a good cause, or a reason to get out on the links in the coming weeks, can help a local family battling leukemia by entering the Fight for Life Benefit Golf tournament this month.

The venue has three nine-hole layouts – Rolling Hills, Thunderbird, and Winged Foot - to accommodate all skill levels. The fairways are tight, and lined with oaks and pines. One hole even has an island green. Golfers may wish to practice their putting on one of the two putting greens.

Single player fees are $100 and foursomes will be $400. Hole sponsorships are $200 and one mulligan (free stroke) will cost $15, while two will cost $20. Golfers are also asked to make monetary donations. Fees will be deducted from donation amounts.

Local businesses are asked to also donate items to the event’s silent auction. Many local businesses like to donate to events such, as this as doing so makes good additions to their advertisement brochure printing.

Golfers usually bring Business Cards with them as they see events like this as good networking opportunities. Proceeds will go to helping Travis Rogers and Rachel Clark, both of whom are battling cancer.

Fight of Life Benefit Golf Tournament will take place Wednesday, December 23 from 7:00 am until 6:00 pm at the Panorama Golf Club, 73 Greenbriar Drive.
