Memorial Day Weekend is coming soon and Conroe is invited to attend a couple of events in the Woodlands.
The Memorial Day Celebration will be a combination celebration of the official start of summer, and a tribute to those who lost their lives and veterans who served in our country’s military. Over 15,000 people are expected to attend. The other is an evening with Brenda Guy at the Waterway Nights.
Waterways Nights have begun and the one scheduled for that Saturday will be Brenda Guy – a One Woman Show. Her specialty is soul music.
The Memorial Day festivities will have live music and strolling entertainers. There will be free children’s activities, and the finale will be a firework display.
Local businesses will have booths that will be promoting their goods and services. Many will be handing out Flyers and giving away free items. Nonprofits will also be distributing materials and information about their missions and services.
Five concession booths will be selling all that traditional food associated with summer fun. Merchants will be on hand selling those assorted summer fun items.
Ms. Guy’s show will be at Waterway Square 31 Waterway Square Place and The Woodlands on May 27 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.
The Woodlands Memorial Day Celebration will be on Memorial Day which is Sunday, May 28 from 4:00 pm until 9:00 at the Town Green Park, 2099 Lake Robbins Drive, also in The Woodlands.
