The 36th annual Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival will be coming to Conroe on its accustomed second weekend in October.
Presented by the Friends of Conroe, Inc, the festivities include two stages featuring non-stop live music and a professional carnival. Cajun-themed goodies and festival snacks will be available for purchase and local merchants will be selling items.
Judges will be looking for confidence, outfit suitability, poise, beauty and overall appearance in the Catfish Pageant. Girls age divisions will include Baby, Mini, Sweetheart, Princess, Jr. Teen and Miss while the boy's division will include Mini, Jr. and Mr. Winners will receive a sash, crown/tiara, and an opportunity to be in local parades. The pageant will take place from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, Saturday, October 11th on the Cajun Rhythms Texas Stage.
Proud parents of pageant winners often take pictures of the contest to local printing services to be added to family newsletters and yearly Calendars.
General admission tickets are $33 per day for advanced and $35 on event day, Friday and Saturday VIP ones for each day are $103 for early bird and $125 on event day. There will be no admission charge for kids 12 and under.
The 36th annual Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival will take place at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds, Friday, October 10th from 6:00 pm to 12:00 am, Saturday, October 11th from 1:00 am to 12:00 am and Sunday, October 12th from noon to 6:00 pm.
