Lobsterfest is only a few weeks away, and this will be the 31st year for good times, grub and golf.
Over 800 lobster-loving guests are expected to attend the first evening’s dinner. Fresh lobster will be flown in from Maine on the day of the event. There will be steak and sides dishes too, and the evening will be replete will both a silent and a live action.
A golf tournament has been added to the event this year. It will have two shotgun starts, teams can move up with claw shots on par five, and mulligans can be purchased for $10 each. Before going to the links, patrons may purchase Lobster Launchers for $20 each. Golfers will receive shirts and goodie Bags with registration.
Some sponsors will have logos on the tournament Banners. Others will have company representatives at the holes passing out Flyers, promotional items, and other freebies.
The Lobsterfest Dinner and Auction will be Thursday, October 5 at the Lone Star Convention Center, 9055 Airport Road, Conroe. Doors will open at 6:00 pm and the dinner and auction will begin at 7:00 pm. The golf tournament will be the following day (Friday, October 6). The start times will be 7:00 am and 1:00 pm at the April Sound Country Club, 1000 April Sound Blvd, Montgomery.
