The Southern Star Brewing Company here in Conroe will be holding a 5k Beer Run in early August.
The stroller-and-dog-friendly course will begin at the brewery, take participants through the Sunset Ridge neighborhood and back to the brewery.
At the 1.5-mile mark, the event's beneficiary Toys for Tots will be manning a water stop. Custom beer-themed awards will go to the top three female and male finishers.
After the race, participants will receive custom finisher glasses and a limit of four 8-oz samples of the brewery's beers. There will be food trucks on site with snacks available for purchase, live music and attendees may take tours of the brewery.
Food trucks that sell at events like this often have local Print shops Print their logo designs on their paper goods.
Registration will be $60 until July 9th, $65 until July 26th, $70 from then until race day and $75 on race day. Non-alcohol pricing will be $45 until July 9th, $50 until July 26th, $55 until race day and $60 at the event. T-Shirts will be included with registration.
Race packets will be available from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm the day before the event and on the day of the event at the venue from 6:30 am to 8:00 am.
The Southern Star Brewing 5K Beer Run will take place Saturday, August 9th at the Southern Star Brewing Company, 3521 N Frazier Street beginning at 8:00 am.
