Downtown Square will be full of activity in mid-October as The Friends of Conroe present the Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival.
The family-friendly two-day event will offer three stages of non-stop music by national, regional, and local country, Cajun, and zydeco performers. There will also be Cajun food and a professional carnival. A special stage will be designated for local entertainers, community groups, and dance teams. Children will have their own KidZone with activities designed especially for them.
A Mr. and Miss Catfish pageant will take place from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm Sunday on the Cajun Stage. A winner will be chosen for confidence, poise, and facial beauty in each of six female divisions and three boy’s categories.
Along with the Miss Conroe Catfish 2022 in the 17 and older category, younger winning queens will be chosen in the Baby, Mini, Sweetheart, Princess, and Jr. Teen categories. The male categories will be Mini (0 to three), Jr. (four to seven), and Mr. (eight years old and over).
All winners will receive crowns (males will get round crowns and queens will get tiaras), Banners, trophies, and opportunities to participate in local parades. Registration to enter in this event is $35.
Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival will be October 14 through 16. Banner printing for events like this is often done by local Print shops.
