The project called ‘North Pointe’ is coming to an eight-acre piece of land in downtown Greenville.

The plans for the parcel proposed by Central Realty Holdings will include a full-service, best-in-class grocery store of 53,000 square feet in size. There will also be 282 apartments around and over retail space, and a redesign and reconfiguration of Wade Hampton Boulevard, which is an important entry point for the downtown area.

According to the CEO and President of Central Realty Holdings, Rece Morgan, the public needs to review the plans by means of neighborhood meetings likely to be held in mid-July followed by a formal approval process from the city. The company may look to flyer printing companies to create pieces with more details about the project so that attendees at these meeting can be fully informed and able to provide valuable feedback.

Changes in the traffic patterns include reconfiguring the intersection of East Stone and Wade Hampton, shifting the latter about 50 to 60 feet to bring it to a right angle, which enable the closing of a part Column Street that now bisects the property. This will provide an entrance into the development. Morgan said that work on the two major streets will improve both aesthetics and pedestrian access.

A six-level parking garage will also be a part of project and will be used for both commercial and residential purposes.
