Greenville water parks set to go to the dogs

Every dog will have its day – or two days, as it turns out – at a Greenville water park this month.

The community’s four-legged set along with their human companions, are invited to make a splash at Discovery Island and Otter Creek for this rain or shine event. Dogs that are at least three months old are welcome, and they will also have to have received their first round of recommended vaccines.

The dogs will be able to splash, swim and have fun, and there will be separate times for large and small dogs. The ticket price includes one dog and one handler, and additional people will be asked to pay $4. Proof of vaccination for the dogs will need to be supplied upon registration.

This day of fun in the sun for the community’s canines has several opportunities on offer for local vendors and not-for-profits. The organizers have expressed their gratitude for the support provided by Rocky Creek Veterinary Hospital and Pet Resort, and have included its Logo Design on its website along with details for both attendees and any businesses or groups that would like to get involved.

Waggin’ at the Waterpark is scheduled for the next two Saturdays, September 11 and September 18. Anyone who has questions or would like to register has been asked to visit the function’s online listing.
