Greenville session to introduce adaptive golf

A course in Greenville will make it easier for everyone to immerse themselves in the fun of golf, regardless of any disability.

Veterans and others who are living with a physical, cognitive, sensory, or other challenge have been offered spots in a late afternoon session that will introduce them to adaptive golf. There will be a team made up of adaptive athletes and other trained subject matter experts on hand, and the session will be held at Shanks Driving Range and Learning Center.

Lasting for an hour and a half, the event will explore how, with a few adaptations, golf can be enjoyed by almost anyone. It will be a supportive atmosphere that encourages the attendees to get to know one another, and the rehabilitative benefits of playing the game will be discussed as well. It is free to register, and the session has been organized by Upstate-Carolina Adaptive Golf.

Golf, birding, soccer, basketball, and many other hobbies and sports can be adapted so that everyone can join in the excitement. Materials that help to take care of the administrative side of hosting a workshop or class, including Letterheads and other Stationery, can be prepared by a professional printer.

This introduction to adaptive golf will get into full swing next Monday, February 26. It will start at 4:15 pm and end at 5:45 pm.
