Greenville foodies set to go vegan

Going meat free is about to get a lot easier thanks to a special class on the way for Greenville foodies.

Whether they want to become vegetarian or vegan or just want to have a healthier diet, the class planned for The Cook’s Station will have lots to offer to those who take part. It will be a two-hour long session and is expected to sell out.

The group will be preparing several dishes, and full instruction will be provided. The students will make a vegan-style scallop dish, as well as maple-dressed coleslaw with peach cobbler for dessert.

The session will be partially hands on, and everyone can expect to get some practice with the techniques they will learn. Wine will be served with the food, and a discount will be available for anyone who would like to remain on site and shop once the meal has drawn to a close. Print shops can craft recipe cards to hand out as part of a cookery class.

Tickets are $65 each. If any attendees with food allergies give notice to the organizers in advance, it may be explained to adjust the recipes to accommodate them.

This introduction to the joys of vegan fine dining is scheduled to begin at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, February 22. The venue will be situated at 515 Buncombe Street.
