Greenville barbecue fans will soon be going wild for an event that will feature a variety of styles of this cuisine.
The three-day Hog & Barrel festival will be a celebration of Southern-style barbecue, and the weekend will be full of entertainment, tastings, and other foodie-friendly fun. A Sunday brunch is just one of the activities that have been planned, and the organizers explained it will be a one-of-a-kind experience.
The festivities will kick off on the Friday evening with an event where VIP ticket holders will enjoy a meet and greet with a variety of distillery owners and ambassadors. The showcase activity for the function will be the Bourbonpalooza, which will run throughout the Saturday afternoon. It will see this distilled beverage used in a variety of ways, and cocktails and samples will be served. Prizes will be awarded for the best cocktail, best dessert, and top barbecue in a variety of categories.
Funds raised through this activity will be donated to Greenville Technical College’s culinary programming. A poster printing company will be able to offer a variety of assistance in spreading the word about a fundraising weekend like this.
The very first Hog & Barrel Festival is set to be held at the Historic Old Cigar Warehouse in the community’s downtown. It will run from November 5 to 7.
