Greenville celebrates the holidays by supporting local charity

Most people don’t need to catch wind of the city’s much-discussed holiday plans to realize that Greenville residents are in for a treat this year. Starting December 1st, 2011 and slated to conclude January 5th 2012, the St. Francis Foundation Holiday Festival will be behind a lot of the festivities taking place this December. In locations that range from Falls Park, Hyatt Regency, and Courtyard Marriott to Hampton Inn and Suites- Riverplace and Piazza Bergamo, the 2011 festival promises to be one for the ages.

Thanks to the Tree Lighting Ceremony and the family-friendly activities planned for the rest of the holiday season, the city will be able to come together as a community and raise money for the St. Francis Foundation.

As the flyer printing and Brochures have likely indicated, the Foundation plays a major role in the city of Greenville. Acting as an organization, the St. Francis Foundation has been instrumental in providing quality healthcare, dental care, and information to uninsured or lower income individuals.

This quote from the Foundation Website says it all:

“The St. Francis Foundation is a charitable foundation that supports the healing mission of The Bon Secours St. Francis Health System. We seek out kindred spirits to join in generosity, embrace possibilities, and bring comfort, joy and hope to the community."

As most can see, this is a cause that the city of Greenville can be proud to support. Since admission is free to all who attend, residents have nothing to lose by stopping by at the Holiday Festival.
