Greenville residents can lace up their skates and take to the ice when the city’s downtown open-air ice rink opens for another season.
Greenville United Community Bank Ice on Main is an annual holiday tradition for the city, where crews construct an outdoor ice-skating rink.
Admission is $10 for adults and $8 for children. A ticket is good for one hour of skating. The ice rink is located in front of the Courtyard Marriott at 206 South Main Street at Village Green. Due to health restrictions, no more than 30 skaters will be allowed on the ice at any one time.
There are ice skates for rent, or visitors can bring their own. There is also plenty of space to sit and watch the skaters glide by with a hot chocolate in hand. Print shops can be used for special events such as this one for Banners, Flyers, and signage.
Greenville United Community Bank Ice on Main opening day is Friday, November 13. An opening ceremony is scheduled for 2:00 pm., and the rink will be open for public skating at 4:00 pm. Ice on Main will remain open until Monday, January 18, 2021. Hours are Monday to Friday from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and Saturday and Sundays from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm.
