The Upper Bucks Foot and Ankle Run for Youth is set to take place in Quakertown next month.
This event is a Quakertown Rotary presentation and serves as a fundraiser for several community youth programs, including scholarship funding for high school seniors, the Quakertown School District literacy program, Student of the Month awards, as well as several others.
The race consists of two runs, a four-mile stretch for Quakertown runners who want to take on a shorter distance and a 10-mile run for those who would rather test themselves on a longer challenge. The course will be easy to follow with many well-placed markers and volunteers to point the way. Flyer printing is often used by the organizers of such events to provide participants with important race details.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three winners in each overall male and female age group. A buffet of fruit and grilled foods will be available to all participants after the races.
Those interested in joining can sign up online at $40 per person for either the four-mile or 10-mile race. Last minute registration will take place on the day of the event from 7:30 am to 9:00 am.
The race is scheduled to be hosted at the Pfaff Elementary School on Saturday, April 4 from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm.
