Quakertown to hold fall festival

Quakertown will be hosting a fall festival in early October.

This event will feature a wide variety of activities to keep kids and adults alike entertained. The proceeds will go towards the city’s parks and recreations office, allowing them to host other events throughout the year.

Adults are able to attend free of charge with a kid. A $5 wristband will grant the children access to the activities for the duration of the festival. There will be crafts, hayrides, activities, trunk or treating, and moon bounces. If unable to be purchased before the event, the wristband will cost $7 at the entrance.

A scarecrow decoration competition will also occur. This is a separately ticketed item from the wristband, but it also will cost $5. Participants may sign up on the day of the event if all the spots are not taken. While some materials will be provided, contestants are encouraged to bring along props and outfits. Hay, head sacks, stakes, and a crafting station for the face will be the items provided.

Those wishing to sponsor the festival or participate in the trunk or treat are able to register online. Businesses may provide food, drinks, or Promotional Products in addition to a donation. For any that wish to help but cannot afford a financial gift, beverages, food, and other goods are accepted as alternatives, but they must be named on the form.

Everything will take place from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on October 2. The location is the Univest Performance Center.
