The American Red Cross will host a blood drive at the Quakertown Farmers Market in January.
Quakertown residents and farmers market shoppers will have a convenient opportunity to donate blood this January. Those interested in giving a donation should make an appointment online on the Red Cross website ahead of time, using the code word “qmart” to find the right event.
The Red Cross website also provides detailed information about eligibility, which those interested should review before scheduling. Giving blood takes about an hour. Organizations often use the services of a poster printing company to promote events like blood drives.
Quakertown Farmers Market is a year-round opportunity for shopping and community connection. The market is located in a comfortable indoor space and is home to more than 100 vendors selling products that range from works of art, to fresh produce, to electronics.
As it is an indoor setting, the farmers market is able to stay open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year. Sunday hours are 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, so blood donors will have plenty of time to enjoy browsing the farmers market before or after their appointments.
The blood drive will take place on Sunday, January 30, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Donors are reminded that an appointment is necessary, and walk-ins cannot be accepted.
