The Friends of Nockamixon State Park organization has scheduled its Kids’ Fishing Tournament to take place in Quakertown this June.
Since 2011, the Friends of Nockamixon State Park organization has enabled volunteers to help with the organization of recreational activities and conservation efforts in Nockamixon State Park. The 5,286-acre park is one of the most popular summer vacation destinations in Pennsylvania for travelers who enjoy rivers, lakes, forests, and nature hiking trails. Activities permitted in various areas of the park include camping, biking, horseback riding, regulated hunting, and boating.
In celebration of National Get Outdoors Day, children between ages five and 14 will receive the opportunity to take part in the Kid’s Fishing Tournament. All necessary fishing tools including poles and bait will be provided to all those who attend the fishing competition. At the conclusion of this Quakertown event, prizes and trophies will be given out. The organizers of such events often use flyer printing to distribute informative event details to those who are interested in attending.
Parents or guardians with kids who are interested in taking part must preregister for the event by contacting Helen Maurella through email or by phone prior to May 15.
The Kids' Fishing Tournament is set to occur at the Children’s Fishing Pond of Nockamixon State Park on Saturday, June 13.
