Quakertown brewery to help with fundraiser

The Proper Brewing Company is assisting in a fundraiser in early June in Quakertown.

The event, called Quakertown Community Day, is set to take place in order to raise money for the city to purchase fireworks for the following month’s 4th of July celebration. The brewery itself will be donating 20% of the profits from this day towards the firework fund.

Attendees are encouraged to bring friends and family along to enjoy the food, wine, ciders, beer, and sodas. The venue currently requires guests to make reservations, at least for indoor dining, although it is unclear if this applies to the fundraiser event.

Those who wish to help but are unable to stay in the restaurant are able to order some of the menu as well as merchandise online. Not all of the company’s menu is available for takeout, so people ordering that way should follow the link on the brewery website to see what is. Merchandise available through online ordering includes blue and gray beanie hats with the company Logo Design printed on them. There are also days where takeout food may not be available, which people can check through the website.

The fundraiser will also include raffles for baskets of prizes. Tickets can be purchased at the venue. It is suggested that those who wish to participate in the raffle get to the venue early to purchase their tickets.

The brewery is located at 117 W Broad St, and the event is taking place on Thursday, June 10.
