An event that will highlight various uses and benefits of hemp will be taking place in late November. This is set to be the first run of what will become an annual festival.
Hemp Hemp Hooray Day was created to help farmers get their product out there. Everything sold at the festival follows the rule of having a tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) content no higher than 0.3% to keep the event family friendly. Those interested in the uses and benefits of the plant will be able to talk directly with the individuals that grow it, as well as those who craft products out of it.
When guests arrive, they will receive a gift of Promotional Products relating to the event. There will be both indoor and outdoor spaces for the vendors, allowing for attendees to spread out, as well as see a combined 220 sellers/businesses, along with informational booths. Kids will be able to participate in a crafting activity. Raffles, demonstrations, and live music will also be available.
For people who may not be interested in hemp itself, there will be some products and experiences available to browse and shop from.
Admission to Hemp Hemp Hooray Day is free. The location is the Quakertown Farmers Market, which guests are also allowed to explore during the day. The event will be running from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on November 20.
