Beach Boy duo headed to Quakertown

Two of the longtime members of the internationally famous rock group The Beach Boys will be appearing in Quakertown in late August. The show will be a part of the town’s Sounds of Summer Concert Series.

Mike Love and Bruce Johnston will be the original group members appearing, along with the musicians they chose to fill out the missing places. The band originated in the 1960s, becoming Grammy Award winners in 2001 in receiving the Lifetime Achievement honor.

This show will feature some of their greatest hits, which include Surfin’ Usa, Kokomo, Good Vibrations, and Fun Fun Fun.

Merchandise with the band’s Logo Design, as well as other graphic designs, will be available for purchase at the venue. The organizer is also offering local businesses the opportunity to advertise at the show, as well as through other platforms. Those interested are able to contact them through the event page on the city website.

Tickets range in price from $40 to $120, with a parking pass for $8 and an early entry pass for $5. The show will take place on Friday, August 27, with the event being planned to take place in all weather, as well as being non-refundable. The venue is the Univest Performance Center, and the time of the concert is from 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm.
