The city of Philadelphia will be the location of two street fairs on the first weekend of next month that will welcome the start of the fall season.
The Midtown Village Fall Festival, which will take place on 13th Street from Chestnut to Locust Street, is expected to attract in excess of 50,000 visitors. It will feature food from approximately 30 local restaurants, eight beer gardens, and more than 40 vendors. Four stages will provide musical and other entertainment. Other activities will include sumo suit wrestling, bounce houses, face painting, and sandcastle building.
The next event is the 30th annual Chestnut Hill Fall for the Arts festival. There will be more than 165 arts and crafts vendors selling a variety of handmade items, as well as food and drink for purchase, children's rides, and two entertainment stages. Some vendors may provide ‘make and take’ crafts for children.
Both of these events will probably be widely advertised in Philadelphia, possibly using Flyers provided by local printing companies.
The Midtown Village Fall Festival will take place on October 3 from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Admission is free. Visit the official Midtown Village website for more information.
The Chestnut Hill Fall for the Arts festival will be held on Germantown Avenue between Willow Grove and Rx Avenues on October 4 from 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Call 215-247-6696 to learn more about this event.
