Houseplants can add a touch of life to a home, office, or other indoor environment, but not everyone has been blessed with a green thumb. An evening planned for Philadelphia hopes to come to the rescue.
The Insectarium and Butterfly Pavilion has put out a call to area plant lovers who would like to add to their own collection. Swapping cuttings, seedlings and knowledge will be the order of the day, presenting an opportunity for the attendees to add to their horticultural toolbox.
Along with the plant exchange, the attendees will be invited to sit in on a Houseplant 101 workshop, and there will also be a short transplanting clinic. Everyone will be able to create their very own origami seed packet to take home, and a demonstration of crafting recycled plant pots and other activities are also in the works for the evening.
Tickets for this rain or shine event are $13 if purchased ahead of time, and they will also be on offer at the door. Keeping this sort of function well organized can be made a lot easier with help from Print shops, who may also supply promotional Pens and other swag.
This gathering of Philly’s plant lovers will be helping to make the world a bit more green on August 22. Tickets are now on sale for the occasion.
